Atheists, agnostics most knowledgeable about religion, survey says

This from the one who accused someone of treason without even knowing what it meant.

Unlike you, I can think for myself. Which means, I don't swallow everything that comes from an expert just because it came from an expert. That's fallacious reasoning that you get sucked into and I don't.

Tell me how any human scientist can say that the universe created itself from nothing when they don't even know what 95+% of the universe consists of, or STFU.

You can't because you're a loser with a C- brain who can't think for himself.
Quote from Gayfly:

Stu, isn't it wonderful how Trader666 knows everything there is to know about everything? Astrophysics, theoretical physics, evolutionary biology, climate science, even geopolitics and economics. The list goes on. He single-handedly puts every noted expert in his place with hardly more than a sweeping remark. Astonishing, wouldn't you say?

Like Stephen Hawking who once said the universe would collapse and time would reverse but later retracted it? Therefore, every wild speculation of his is valid, no matter how ridiculous? Oh please.

That fact that you're too stupid to realize when "the leading authorities" are speculating and far overreaching is your problem, not anyone else's.
Quote from Gayfly:

I think it's impressive that you're weighing in with your knowledge of science, which also is at odds with the leading authorities who have devoted their professional lives to their field. No doubt, your credentials are no less impressive than those of Trader666.

Quote from Trader666:

The SPECULATION that the universe began from nothing is nothing more than a SPECULATION. And a reaching one at that because, as I've been trying to pound into your pointed head, scientists don't even know what over 95% of the universe consists of. That you would say otherwise is yet another example of your STUpidity.

Speaking of dark matter and dark energy... you were clueless until I schooled you here, so drop your pathetic facade.

You couldn’t school a shoal of fish.

I understand you are very angry because scientists know how much dark energy there is and you think they don't.

Remember, the irrational ramblings you've made in links you keep referring to are locked, so they are always going to remain as dumb as when you first made them.

Quote from Lucrum:

So you concede it's not fact, but <s>just</s> a theory?
I'm proud of you stewie.
Now you want me to concede the laws of physics are a theory crummie?
Gravity is a theory, does that mean you have a problem with Einstein as well as a universe beginning from nothing?

Quote from stu:

No, I never said the LAWS of physics are a theory, only that the theories are...well...theories and not laws.
... does that mean you have a problem with ...a universe beginning from nothing?
If based only on what I've heard from you so far, yes.

Anyone who clicks this link can see that I schooled you here:

So not only are you STUpid, you're a liar.

And you didn't even know about dark energy until I schooled you so don't pretend you know what you're talking about.

Wrong. Gravity is not a theory, it's what we call the force of attraction between objects of mass and our attempts to define and quantify it are our THEORIES of gravitation... none of which has gotten it exactly right.

Which "laws" of physics allow the universe to be created out of nothing?
Quote from STUpid:

Gravity is a theory

“When I began my career as a cosmologist some twenty years ago, I was a convinced atheist. I never in my wildest dreams imagined that one day I would be writing a book purporting to show that the central claims of Judeo-Christian theology are in fact true, that these claims are straightforward deductions of the laws of physics as we now understand them. I have been forced into these conclusions by the inexorable logic of my own special branch of physics.”

The human mind is not capable of grasping the Universe. We are like a little child entering a huge library. The walls are covered to the ceilings with books in many different tongues. The child knows that someone must have written these books. It does not know who or how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. But the child notes a definite plan in the arrangement of the books - a mysterious order which it does not comprehend, but only dimly suspects.”

Astronomy leads us to a unique event, a universe which was created out of nothing, one with the very delicate balance needed to provide exactly the conditions required to permit life, and one which has an underlying (one might say ‘supernatural’) plan.”

It is, for example, impossible for evolution to account for the fact than one single cell can carry more data than all the volumes of the Encyclopedia Britannica put together.”

“It now seems to me that the findings of more than fifty years of DNA research have provided materials for a new and enormously powerful argument to design.”

-Anthony Flew
Professor of Philosophy, former atheist, author, and debater

There is a wide measure of agreement which, on the physical side of science approaches almost unanimity, that the stream of knowledge is heading towards a non-mechanical reality; the universe begins to look more like a great thought than a great machine. Mind no longer appears as an accidental intruder into the realm of matter. We are beginning to suspect that we ought rather to hail mind as the creator and governor of the realm of matter—not of course our individual minds, but the mind in which the atoms out of which our individual minds have grown, exist as thoughts.”

- Sir James Jeans knighted mathematician, physicist and astronomer who helped develop our understanding of the evolution of stars, wrote this in his book The Mysterious Universe (Cambridge, 1931).

16O has exactly the right nuclear energy level either to prevent all the carbon from turning into oxygen or to facilitate sufficient production of 16O for life. Fred Hoyle, who discovered these coincidences in 1953, concluded that “a superintellect has monkeyed with physics, as well as with chemistry and biology.”

“If you equate the probability of the birth of a bacteria cell to chance assembly of its atoms, eternity will not suffice to produce one… Faced with the enormous sum of lucky draws behind the success of the evolutionary game, one may legitimately wonder to what extent this success is actually written into the fabric of the universe.”

Nobel prize winners vs. Stu. I choose science.
