Atheism

stu is a genius, her ta

god didn't give us the iphone, man did.

has many more constrained parts than god.

I haven't mentioned god yet. I have only used the words faith and knowledge and/or reality.

I said faith is what makes man.

Man seems to make things beyond himself.

That may require science.

But science is the study of what's reliable within the domain of faith-made phenomena.

Man has to believe in the reliable phenomena to make things like iphones.

What a coincidence! Man believes in the reliable phenomena, and also the originating faith mechanism believes in the reliable phenomena. Thus, the motives of man and man's maker are similar, if not the same, rooted in faith.

But the minute faith is removed, the reliable phenomena un-manifests, and disappears.

Receiving the physical phenomenon of being hit over the head with a baseball bat does not manifest itself in any way as faith-based.

I'd suggest some religiously inclined folk really do try far too hard to make faith mean something it obviously doesn't, to the point of ridiculous.

So to put it bluntly, if i said the entire world was made of wood and you tried to prove otherwise by hitting me over the head with a wooden bat, you prove nothing...and lend evidence to what i just said.

yes, god

i can't see god, but my iphone does so much more :D

Like i said, i have not mentioned god.

You can't see faith, but faith is what produces all physical phenomena, what can be seen as well as the eyes that seem to see it.

Before the iphone, you could not see it.

Someone believed in it. Now you see it.

A/The most believable GOD!

http://hollowverse.com/michio-kaku/

As a physicist, Kaku is an advocate and supporter of string theory–the idea that our universe is but one of many universes in the “multiverse.”3 But in terms of spirituality, Kaku is clearly a pantheist. He finds the universe beautiful and wondrous in its symmetry and natural order. For example, he has called the Grand Canyon a Cathedral4 and marveled at the patience and time it took for water to carve it.

Kaku also seems to regard physics as its own sort of religion. When interviewed, he frequently says: “We physicists believe this, we physicists believe that.” When it comes to religion, he tends to use Einstein as his mouthpiece. Kaku said:

When scientists use the word God, they usually mean the God of Order. For example, one of the most important revelations in Einstein’s early childhood took place when he read his first books on science. He immediately realized that most of what he had been taught about religion could not possibly be true. Throughout his career, however, he clung to the belief that a mysterious, divine Order existed in the universe.5

wow... that is really interesting coming from the co founder of sting theory.

So one co founder of sting theory states that God is one of the possible explanations for the fine tunings of our universe.

The other Co founder says that sub atomic particles are evidence the universe was created...

.....go Michio Kaku!!!! "the best minds in science."

Kaku is just citing the IPCC. Which is like citing al gore. Its not science.

... oops "the best minds in science." sucks...

and we have Stu arguing furiously against the best minds in science.
:D

If you ever doubted you were being idiotic Jem, now is the time to embrace the fact.

oh look jimmy the sock puppet is cheering stu on... again.
does that make him tweedle dum or dee?

stu rulez with straw men.

science vs political opinion.

In one area Kaku was or is an expert... he was a co-founder of string theory...
which is interesting because stu argues for a theory of everything and Kaku has stated he hoped or hopes string Theory is a of Everything. (recent experiments at CERN are apparently making string theory appear less and less like to be a Theory of Everything.)

In an apparent change of direction Stu brought up Kaku on global warming. Kaku cited the IPCC and said they speak of alarming climate change. We have analyzed the IPCC papers here and we know that if you read their footnotes... theur warnings coming from projections from scenarios which assume that co2 causes warming.

That is not science. As I have said there is no science showing man made co2 causes warming.

If Stu would post links to real science he might use he brain power to make a valid point once in a while.

.....go Michio Kaku!!!! "the best minds in science."

yeah ok Jem calm down. You've already made your silly nonsensical point perfectly clear.

Michio Kaku is only going to be a "great minds of science" when you say he is.

He's not your "great minds of science"regarding AGW, because you say there isn't any science.
He is your "great minds of science" regarding God, because there actually isn't any science.

brilliant :D

when you have the science, argue the science
when you have facts argue the facts..
when you are a troll you make a lot of noise and change the subject after you get caught spewing detritus.
