Intellect alone can doubt anything, even its own existence. A strong intellect will recognize the inherent circular nature of human logic, which is based on an assumption that human logic alone would reveal God.
When the atheists cannot even provide a definition of the God they don't believe in, it illustrates how reactive their position actually is...
So the intellect that God gave can easily doubt God's existence and throw a tantrum like a spoiled child demanding to be held by its mommy...
If you were actually intellectually honest, and emotionally honest, you would practice doubt and critical thinking toward the very doubt of God that you have...
What few people do once they get comfortable with some ideology, is that they wear it and defend it blindly, but they rarely do the necessary work to see if the foundation of their ideology was truly developed based on a balanced personality, and not resentments, mental problems, etc.
I would estimate that upwards of 90% of the atheists here at ET were theists at one point, and probably very devout theists.
That means that they failed, or were at least disappointed in their efforts in theism...
When people fail, they can either hold a resentment, or they can cheerfully move along and not mind what the others who did not fail are doing...
It does seem axiomatic that atheism does not generally bring peace of mind or a level of acceptance of theism.
People flipped from one extreme to the other, which is a snapping of reason and logic.
A truly rational reaction to failure in theism would be agnosticism, or simply saying "It didn't work for me, it seems to work for others, but I can only speak for myself."
I wish the atheists best of luck with their religion of atheism, and as long as their religion doesn't prevent me from practicing my own beliefs, I see no problem at all...
