Why should anyone care about the faith (or lack thereof) of another person? It's an intensely private matter...

If it was kept private that would be great but it's not, religion is forced on us in every level of government and the government subsidies religion with tax breaks. Keep religion private, that would solve a lot of problems.

Yep religion is forced on you. I remember one time I missed church and the police came to my door. I was put in jail for 5 days.

Another time, I ate pork and the government came in and told me I couldnt do that. I was fined $600.


And there was this guy I heard about...he committed adultery and they gave him the death penalty.

I also see the government putting lots of homosexuals to death too.

Well, religion is only "forced" on children (and that's pretty mild, especially relative to other cultures), but that's sort of a "necessary evil". If you're an adult, nothing is really forced on you. As to tax breaks, everyone gets them in the US of A, innit? Hollywood, churches, homeowners, etc etc etc

Why does that behaviour bother you? What two (or more) consenting adults do in the privacy of their own bedrooms is their own business. Why make it yours?

The discussion was about forcing approval for their behavior on others. That's what bothers me.

What someone does and keeps to themselves in their home is no problem to me. (Probably to God and what will happen to them, though.)

Why does what I think bother you anyway?

Maybe my reading comprehension ain't so good, you're right...

I don't see anyone forcing you to approve of anything. You can continue to disapprove to your heart's content. I disapprove of a great many things, but I expect people don't give a rat's ass. And that's as it should be.

So maybe I am missing smth here? Who wants you to approve of this or that behaviour?

What you think doesn't bother me. We're having a discussion and expressing our views. There ain't no bovver here.
