At YahooFinance every 2nd stock news article is ads! Degenerate!

Yeah U-Block has a whole army of people on Reddit... and the minute an ad shows up on YT for one of them, they go ham lol. And it's rare when it happens.

There's a whole filter list under advanced settings. Just expand them all out and check-mark every box. Purge the cache and hit update filters.
Hmm. where is this advanced settings located? Under Options there is nothing labeled Advanced, if I haven't overlooked something.
UPDATE: Yes, now I see it: it's under Options/Filter lists

I have this extension get installed named "uBlock Origin", after I had clicked on the install button/link. Is there maybe another version avail?

Hey @vanzandt, thanks a lot! You and uBlock have saved my day :)
At YF I no more see any ads when I go to this page:
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/
:)
Previously really every 2nd of the news items was an "Ad"...
Once you understand it, and there is a bit of a learning curve if you use it in the advanced mode, you'll find it's a pretty powerful add-on.

Here's a good tutorial for you.

Regarding uBlock, ie. the above talked ad banner extension for the WebBrowser:
I experience a bug: memory consumption rises continually up to 100% !
Seems to happen only when I watch movies in the browser from my streaming provider (Paramount+).
After about 1.5h the memory usage becomes very high (>90%).
My machine has 8GB, and I never had experienced such behaviour before I started using uBlock some days ago.
A workaround solution is to close the browser tab wherein the streaming videos play, and do it in a new tab...
