At What Point Does America Stop Sending Money To Ukraine?

Lets see, a quick search says there are just under 100,000 public schools total in the US.

That's 2000'/month of high quality, aesthetic, vinyl coated, dark green, 8" chain-link fence for each school.

For perspective, enough to almost surround two football fields>>>> per month!
For every public school in the US.

Naaa. Send that money to Raytheon and LMT. Putin might decide to make a move on Poland.
Right.

I am sure there were people in the U.S. spouting similar stuff about the spending of funds to support Great Britain and the allies against the Nazis before the United States entered WW2.

If Putin has his way with Europe -- which he has already stated is his intent with Ukraine just being the starting point -- the future will look very bleak for the western world with the rise of the new Iron Curtain across most of the continent. Not to mention the ethical and moral aspects of standing up to violent aggressors and not appeasing them.

We've no money to protect our schools. I thought you understood that.

Not even apples to apples ok.

You know what, there have been wars since the beginning of time. They're all different, but they all have one thing in common... someone eventually comes to the table and negotiates.
Putin's not going to do that, and if he lives 20 more years, you're ok with pouring whatever our share of $5B/month is down a fing black hole?!

I've said from the get go, let him have half of the Ukraine, and make it clear if he goes one inch farther, we nuke him to the stone age.
Sucks for the Ukranians... but thats war. There's winners and losers.
Period.

One tank crosses into a Baltic state, and he gets our wrath.
He'll be happy with what he got, and he'll stop right there when he see's we're not fucking around.

How long did it take for the Soviet Union to come to the table and negotiate to end the cold war.... oh, it never happened until they went completely bankrupt and ended the cold war. That is effectively how this is going to play out with Russia -- but take less time to occur.

How much money did the U.S. and our allies spend each year to sustain the cold war and bankrupt the Soviet Union. Well, we are in the same situation again with Putin and Russia.

A policy of appeasement where we hand over half of Ukraine to the new Soviet Union (aka Russia) will not stop Putin's aggression, it will merely embolden it. Next Putin will be demanding the Baltic countries, Poland and all sorts of additional territory. NATO and the western world are united in standing up to the red menace -- and will not back down in demanding Putin completely withdraw from Ukraine.

BTW -- the probability of Putin living another 20 years is slim. However the reality is that he may be replaced by one of his cronies who thinks exactly like him.
