Any loss under $10k on the position will not be a disaster. I can recover that within a week or so in this market.

I would say I'm concerned. I will be disappointed if covering after hours turns out to have been the correct strategy.
I mean, when you are trading to make 10 cts/share, losing dollars per share somehow seems to be moving in the wrong direction.
By the way, my pulse wasn't racing. I never let them see me sweat. I just burn out the keyboard with forehead drippings.
Anyway, it's hard to "take some off the table" when the market is closed.
Believe me, I'm covering at or near the opening.
