At least 18 kids dead....

I don't think anybody wants to admit to it...but a few people have jokingly said that "P&R" is responsible for about 90% of the traffic on this site...maybe not 4-5 years ago, but nowadays...I'd say that it's pretty accurate.

Many people who have been here for years are pretty much settled in their way of trading, not too many interesting trading threads come out these days.

P&R is entertaining, and gives a chance to debate various issues with more or less like minded folks. We might have quite opposite political views but share interest in finance for the most part.

So these stats could be correct.

It is the complete hands-off, no moderation (in theory) aspect that makes P&R unique. But I noticed some posts go missing the other day that were talking about Obama in racial terms so I guess somebody might have complained.

I was told that mods only intervene in P&R if there is a complaint. Then if the author of the offending post clearly broke the rules they might be warned or even banned.

I remember when people were banned pretty frequently. That doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

Could be less mods.

Yeah, or maybe they've accumulated enough experience to be able to deal effectively with people without banning them.

That's certainly been my observation.

Speaking of observations, Wasn't that 30 days without posting supposed to start immediately after your admission of defeat?

And of all the crap you could have chimed in on, you pick this- a discussion about P&R supposedly being some kind of shining star forum of the website? lol.

I think someone has obviously been having "spotlight" withdrawals, and needed their fix pretty bad :)

All the same, welcome back, Lucster, it's been pretty boring around here not hearing your bigoted remarks during the past few days that you've decided to try cold turkey.

We will never be the same person again because our loved ones gone forever.

THEY GONE TOO SOON ...

Like a comet
Blazing 'cross the evening sky
Gone too soon

Like a rainbow
Fading in the twinkling of an eye
Gone too soon

Shiny and sparkly
And splendidly bright
Here one day
Gone one night
........
.....
...
.
Like a perfect flower
That is just beyond your reach
Gone too soon

Born to amuse, to inspire, to delight
Here one day
Gone one night

Like a sunset
Dying with the rising of the moon
Gone too soon
Gone too soon

This is very poetic, and thoughtful for you to post it. Who wrote this do you know?

It reminds me of one of my favorites, from the Cox bros.
