Asus - G20AJ

Anyone have any experience with the Asus - G20AJ for a trading desktop? I like that it is compact, just wondering if it's reliable for day trading.
 
I'm using an Asus rog laptop that runs everything fine, I have a monitor attached to it too. I had to return the first 2 computers in the first hour though. The first had broken keys and the seconds graphics card failed. This one has been great though and is the best computer I've ever had

ANY relatively modern computer or laptop is basically more than enough and reliable and adequate for trading. o_O;
Trading is not a fancy/expensive/complicated thing that requires super high-end computing power.

(just as long as you're not using a machine from 1999 that's running Windows 98)

I had a quad core AMD. Because it froze in heavy market circumstances I had to buy (2 years ago) another more powerful desktop. Laptop was impossible because of overheating. I bought a 4770K intel based system with SSD. Overclocked it and have no problems anymore. So my experience is that some calculations can be a problem in heavy market conditions and laptops can be problematic, for me at least, too.
 
Awesome! Thanks for the reply. Just want something that's not overkill but will get the job done. Also don't want any huge desktop which is why this one caught my eye.

My experience with laptops was that heating or rather cooling can be a problem. Maybe you should watch the MSI GE72 series. They have better cooling than most laptops, as itis mainly a gaming laptop, but it can do the trading job perfectly.
 
Well this one is not a laptop. Its a desktop just smaller in size compared to regular towers.

How will the battery last on average?
Answer:
The estimated battery life is 2+ hours for normal daily uses (browsing, email, video, etc...). The battery life will go down if you are gaming, or using other programs that are more demanding than regular usage.

is this correct just 2 hours?

Depends what you do. Should in general be between 2 and 3 hours. If you want performance you need energy. If you don't use his power he will last longer. Just ordered one because I need a lot of processor power and good cooling. Connect it always on the net so battery is not important for me.
Some reviews say battery last not long enough, in other reviews I read no comments, so for them it is not an issue.
