yeh cherry. i trade intermediate trends and i've loved these since they came out. Rig it up with mobile internet and u got something which can monitor the market anytime u need it.
 
I haven't used the Eee PC, however, I have used a Sony Vaio UX 50, with a 4.5 inch screen. I wanted something for mobile trading. I was concerned the screen was too small to make it actually functional, but quite the opposite...the sony has amazing resolution, and everything worked great (I was trading with cybertrader), now trade with IB. I use a USB data card through telus here in Canada and internet is super fast at broadband speeds and I can go anywhere with it.

Hey aus. I never went the distance and purchased an Eee PC. I did however order an Imate 8502 smart phone (or whatever they call them) for the sole purpose of monitoring positions. I'm still waiting for Telstra to deliver it. I'm hoping I made the right decision. They're expensive little suckers and the Next G data usage costs might blow out also. Time will tell. If anyone else has any experience with the Imate's let me know.
 
I have just set up a new Asus EEE PC 1000H. This wonderful, stylish mini-laptop is just perfect! Runs TWS & QT with only 20% of CPU and 40% of memory in use, so there's more than enough resources.

The EEE PC 1000H has a 10" display, Intel Atom CPU, 1GB RAM, and Windows XP. Best of all is the amazing 5-hr battery life. While not on the move, I have an external 24" display connected. This monster screen looks rather funny beside the cute mini-laptop. :)

I can warmly recommend to anyone who needs to move around a lot.

Is anyone running Metatrader 4 on a Eee PC 1000 (XP version) or any netbook with maximum resolution of 1024x600?

I note that the resolution required to run MT4 is 1024x768.

i run one or more instances of MT4 on my 900 eee with no problems.
