Quote from ElectricSavant:
RCG...
Can "things" be born? or is it "living things".... Has the history of Astrology correlated or explained about the time something is introduced or whatever?
Then this...
When something is introduced or started or whatever...if it is not living...would the interpretation by others be really what matters in that case?
Aside from Astrology...does the current Calendar date back in History as the same...or does Astrology use a different sort of Calendar...?
These are honest questions that I have and there is not any predisposition...
The only thing that I can understand with my limited resources (my mind) is that the solar system...our universe and the various planets...other universes and so on...can align...rotate...etc...they are infinite in numbers perhaps...and there was no recorded beginning or end of all of this, no matter what calendar is used.
The Bible addresses Astrology and how Christians should see it...but I am curious in what you know RCG and others...
By the way Thank-you for accepting the Contest... It would be fun, educational and a good read for the readers here I could imagine.

P.S. Sury...I may have mis-spelled some words but I am going to re-read and try to correct them all...If you can help let me know if I missed any ok?
P.P.S. Folks, reacting with intelligence and not striking with anger separates some from others...don't you agree? sometimes beliefs become strong and emotional, with rather differing reactions to them. I endeaver to be quiet and soft spoken and speak with a low voice. Sury does not realize how advesarial this thread could have become...he has no idea as to the amount of work it takes to attempt to create a positive demeaner of an open forum with open posting.
So regardless of what I believe and think about Astrology... the readers here have just as much right to post freely and openly about their experiences and opinions as I do or anybody else does. Coming on strong as a bulldog with quick blows to stave off controversy is one way...but really we are adults here and can simply read and share nicely.
I began my journey with Gann, I bought everything that was published, if that tells you anything.
I invested heavily with Matrix Software to learn Astro.
The problem with Astro trading is that Astro presupposes that its predictive qualities come via the vibrations that the planets have on living entities. The effects of the moon will not affect the behavior of a non-living entity. There is no mind for the vibrational energy to act on.
That said, using Astro to determine how a non-living entity will behave is a non-starter. At best, Astro could be used to determine how a trader would trade, not whether or not X would go up or down. X = US Steel, a Gann favorite.
Gann used very solid TA for his time to attempt to put price in a framework to be interpreted, which is all any kind of TA does.
Astro is a man made attempt to bring order out of chaos. Humans have a lot of trouble with the concept that life is largely random. It interferes with the human need to have purpose beyond reproduction. So, we invent structures to try to predict the weather, crops, who will fall for us, and how many pips we will make in the euro/yen pair. Ultimately, these are illusions. We do not really know any of the above, and on the off chance we do guess right, we try to make patterns out of it. Pigeons are superstitious too, so I don't worry about it.
