Ashraf Laidi - may be the smartest man alive

You say that you have no interest in trading currency but yet you have the experience to determine whether someone has written a good book on fx and whether someone is really smart at this business. Give me a break and take this trash somewhere else. Ashraf just gives market recaps and discusses fundamentals and then he extrapolates what he things will happen without putting his money where his mouth his.

Any fool with any understanding of economics will be able to do this. He is absolutely nothing special and is in the same class as Kathy Lien and Boris Scholsberg.

Go peddle your crap somewhere else!

I appreciate you have a great deal of respect for this individual. He is an intelligent person but he chooses to direct that intelligence toward FOREX, an environment that, at best, is rife with corruption and the most manipulated trading environment on the face of the earth.

If he was truly intelligent and SMART he would direct his focus toward an environment where he had even a small amount of control so he could actually HELP traders succeed. He didn't.

Banks totally control FOREX because it is THEIR information you are trading. This is why Reuters and GLOBEX could never get the banks to the table to agree on joining the feeds into a single source. The banks knew they would loose contol of their currency environments.
 
I have the deep impression Ashraf Laidi dispises North American culture and if he can in any way knock USA or Canada, he would do it. Conscience appears to be lacking in most of these "yappers" !

I firmly believe if you have, it would be impossible to. He does not have any wild opinions, he is grounded in the fundamentals. Kathy Lien and Boris Schlossberg both look like interesting reads as well, although say seem more geared on the actual trade.

One thing about Ashraf which I guess wont come across on a video for whatever reason, was his genuine excitement about the macro he is doing. You could tell how much work and research he put into it. How it was the economics behind the moves which were what interested him and the forex movement is just a byproduct.
