ASA (anthropogenic seismic activity) is a hoax. Shrill alarmists are trying to redistribute energy sector profits into their own pockets!

What's causing Texas earthquakes? Fracking 'most likely,' report says

"Irving, Texas (CNN)Jim and Gail Wells have lived in the upscale Las Colinas area of Irving, Texas, for 14 years.

"Nestled between Dallas and Fort Worth, they love their quaint neighborhood for its custom homes amid rolling hills and large trees.

"One of the neighborhood's newer features is a spate of seismic activity.

"According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the Dallas area has suffered almost 40 small earthquakes (magnitude 2.0 or higher) since the beginning of this year, the latest a magnitude-2.7 quake near Farmers Branch on Saturday. Many of the epicenters were recorded in Farmers Branch and Irving, with a couple to the south in Venus.

"The quakes don't sound like much to somebody from California," Jim Wells told CNN. "But when you are sitting right on top of them, they are more than noticeable. They will shake the entire house, and you have no doubt about it when you have gone through it. We have in my home perhaps 100 or more wall hangings, pieces of art -- prints, etchings, oil originals -- and none of them are hanging straight."

"On January 7 and 8, Irving experienced 11 earthquakes in about 24 hours. During one of those quakes -- a magnitude 3.6 -- Gail Wells says the rattling and shaking were so intense it knocked her off the sofa.

"Susan Hough, a seismologist at the USGS and the California Institute of Technology, says the epicenter of these types of earthquakes would produce "average-to-high shaking intensities close in, but low intensities" about six miles out."

George Soros Invests Big In Fracking Company Despite Funding Green Groups

Despite being known for backing left-wing groups generally opposed to fossil fuels, billionaire investor George Soros invested hundreds of millions of dollars in a major coal and natural gas producer.

SNL Energy reports that Soros “opened a new equity stake in coal and gas producer CONSOL Energy Inc., purchasing about 5.1 million shares of the company in the second quarter valued at $234.4 million.” SNL notes that Soros has no other holdings in coal companies in June 30th filings — which could have changed since then.

It is incredibly mindless that the global warming cabal proclaims that everyone who doubts their political AGW assertions automatically supports fracking. As outlined previously in ET, many of the "skeptics" have significant issues with Fracking in the U.S.

My concerns with Fracking in the U.S. include:
1) Fracking is performed by out-of-town crews who have no concern with the local environmental pollution they leave behind.
2) The widespread pollution of wells near Fracking sites.
3) Small intensity earthquakes.

Many states including North Carolina have rushed to allow Fracking while putting in place minimal environmental regulations designed by the Gas Industry. The state governments need to slow down the "rush to Frack" until it can be proven that it can be done safely without turning local areas into wastelands.

That Ricter is creating a new term (ASA -anthropogenic seismic activity) associated with Fracking and trying to associate it with AGW merely shows the inanity of the "Climate Change" crowd.

He's just trolling (as usual). If he were truly interested in discussion, he would bring up the subject and look for intelligent debate on it, not make an opening post attempting to poke fun at those who deny/debate AGW in order to provoke a flame war.

And we'd all be saying "Who are you and what did you do with ricter?"
