Quote from AK Forty Seven:
I follow my doctors advise and recommendations. Quit being a bitch and hating on my medical care
Quote from AK Forty Seven:
My experience has been completely different.Immediate approvals.I have a 3,000 out of pocket max that I had to use for the first time last year.Had chest pains and went to the ER.36,000 hospital bill .I only had to pay the the 3,000 out of pocket max.I was referred to a cardiologist and gastroenterologist for thousands of dollars of test and blue cross paid it all with absolutely no problems.Even my brand name prescription drugs were paid for 100 %
Quote from PiggyBank:
I have BC/BS as well. Anyway, 36k is quite a fee.. your probably about my age so i doubt is was heart related.
as an aside, what is going to happen to people who don't follow their initial doctors advice i wonder? this is going to be a disaster
Quote from AK Forty Seven:
After MRI's,endoscopies, electrocardiograms, heart sonograms, mutiple hospital tests etc it turned out to be gastro reflux.1 Nexuim and 1 Dexilunt per day and problem was solved
Quote from wjk:
Too much politics, dude. I'm curious: Are you able to get a supplemental to offset your deductible?
Quote from AK Forty Seven:
I don't think I can get any kind of supplemental with private insurance.I just paid the 3,000 out of pocket
Doctors are also to blame. When they called to verify my insurance and found out I had reached my out of pocket max they recommend every test they could think of
Quote from peilthetraveler:
Its blue cross...they are the worst EVER at getting things you need approved. Something that would take a normal insurance carrier 24 to 48 hours to approve, blue cross can take well over a month and sometimes longer. It really is almost not worth it to have them as an insurance carrier.
