Because IB has moved all his Hong Kong customers to Hong Kong IB which is a HK local brokerage firm, there is only production for HK stock but nothing outside of HK. Can I even buy insurance or some production product from IB for US stock?

The question is is IB HK, which presumably is a separate legal entity from IB US, a member of SIPC? If not, you are not covered.

I'm sure yes. The nice thing about the US markets is they don't discriminate, unlike where I live; a foreigners money is welcome here, but very second class.can you buy US equities?
