the best way to wage war today is to devote the whole defense budget to American Airlines and provide free tickets for USA citizens to any problem country. (although it would encorage other countries to become problem countries)

But just imagine, we are tired of seeing all this bullshit in Syria on our tv screens each night. So the government gives out free airline tickets to Syria (with Air Force Protection) and we just flood the area with tourists and start spending money and look around.

I think we should reduce the military down to a small ceremonial force and hire outfits like Blackwater to do the actual fighting for us in the future. Pay them for results. Cheaper and more effective.

The next war will be fought by drones and robots anyway. Let's hope it's not against the Chinese, since we have lost the ability to manufacture anything ourselves.
