They are idiots because they think a pistol will protect them in the (unlikely) event the American populace comes to their door looking to lynch them.
 
Goldman public relations office told them to load their guns only with Gold Bullets.

So people who get shot will have enough gold in them to pay for their hospital bills.

It's their way of giving back to the poor.

I'm sure if they whine enough some govt puppet will order the police to look after them

or they could just hire private security and bill it to the taxpayers

If personal protection under all conditions is paramount they should sell out and move to the South where they can pack 24/7. In my state two percent of the populace has concealed carry permits, and that number rises a tenth of a percent every year.
