Didn't the incident occur in Wisconsin? What jurisdiction would Illinois have?
Yeah, shooting occurred in Kenosha, Wisconsin. In contrast, Kyle's home is in
Antioch, Illinois...teenager lives with his Mother. He turned himself in to the police in Illinois. I don't believe he has a father living with them.
He had crossed state lines with an assault weapon from Illinois into Wisconsin...a big mistake on his part...
its illegal. People go to prison for that crime alone when they cross state lines with a weapon they are not legally allowed to have nor carry.
You do not need to read any of the below because the above answers your question directly.
----------------
After the shooting...he went back to his state (Illinois) to turn himself into the police. Police defended him (didn't say anything negative) but would have arrested him had he left the area and turned himself in at another police station in Wisconsin. Most likely the Militia in Wisconsin didn't want anything to do with him after the shooting.
Illinois and Mom (lawyers) would have then extradited him back to Illinois.
Also, he's
not legally old enough to own a weapon. Therefore, whomever gave him the weapon (they'll trace it) is in deep water too especially if they too is from Illinois. My guess is that
Kyle was just some wannabe that has a friend in a Militia group
or was invited there to just observe / learn. Things then escalated too fast for him considering he was easily surrounded alone...
While no other Militia came to his aid. Obviously the Militia weren't loyal to him...they knew he's an outsider.
- In fact, a good Militia...does not allow: underage civilians that can not legally own/carry a firearm, felons, wants to hurt civilians...most do not want racists. A good militia does not want outsiders to help defend property / lives unless its the National Guard
Primary reason for the above is that if there's any legal problems with one individual...they all can be implemented and looked at as a domestic terrorist group...becomes a federal crime.
- Militia are pro military...typically anti police...more so on the Federal level.
There's a website that list states by ranking of the law very tolerant of Militia...Illinois is not even in the top 20 like Michigan, Arizona, Texas, Idaho, Missouri and such. Yet, as you move west...Militia are typically more watched by the Federal Government due to their history of being more against law enforcement because they think they're
above the law.
Police typical in most states consider Militia's as
domestic terrorism groups considering their history after the early 1900's versus their history before the 1900's. Yet, most states welcome their help during natural disasters (e.g. hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, forest fires) just like the National Guard.
Usually police don't bother Militia if the cops know you're local and protecting your own property or protecting family members. If they know you're not local (have no vested interest in the community nor the property)...Police do not trust your presence.
Militias have been on the rise since towards the end of George Bush Presidency especially after 911 especially with former military soldiers. Ever since...
- Right To Bear Arms - 2nd Amendment has been crazy abused...known since the Prohibition days of alcohol.
These days, anarchist and protesters are more organized. If they see Militia showing up...the anarchist and protesters will identify them, photograph them, video tape them and then bring in their own Militia for any future confrontation.
Today, with social media...Militia can mobilize very quickly and travel across state lines just as fast as anarchists / protesters doing the same. That's a big problem for the Police.
- Kyle Rittenhouse is fucked because it wasn't his fight. He ran to the police because his militia buddies abandon him and he didn't know if the militia on the other side that's associated with the protesters were nearby.
- There's a possibility that the militia in Kenosha, Wisconsin were not local nor from Wisconsin. That could be why Kyle was so easily abandon.
- He'll be a sacrificial lamb by the Illinois justice system to send a warning to other Militias nationwide to know their members and keep them in control.
- Most coming to his legal aid will be from outsiders that are conspiracy theorists, conservatives trying to make it political considering Wisconsin is a battle ground state and groups using the façade of law & order.

Here's the real irony...if President Trump visits Kenosha, Wisconsin and only addresses one of the shooting situation...he'll lose the swing state of Wisconsin. Strategically, Trump would visit Kenosha, Wisconsin to try to bring Biden out from the comfort of his home in Delaware...big mistake.
Wisconsin will become a key battle ground state and the state of Illinois (Democratic state) doesn't want anything to do with it and will without doubt use Kyle Rittenhouse as a sacrificial lamb to make a political statement.
