Arkansas lawmakers pass religious-belief bill

If you are a "professional" massage therapist who caters to orgies in general, then yes. If you don't cater to orgies as part of your business, then no.
So, discrimination or refusal is okay as long as it fits with DB's narrowed down definitions?

So, discrimination or refusal is okay as long as it fits with DB's narrowed down definitions?

It has nothing to do with "narrowed down definitions". It has to do with the kind of business one is engaged in. A massage therapist who serves the public would not be entitled to refuse to massage a negro, either. If the therapist serves orgies, then the therapist must serve all orgies. If that's not part of the therapist' business, then he can't be expected to provide such a service, any more than a pizzeria is required to provide a wedding cake or a baker provide floral arrangements.

That pizzeria could have avoided all this by stating that they don't provide pizzas to weddings at all.

Brother DB...Stand up...See if you can walk in a straight line from where you are at your desk to the nearest doorway.
Let me know if you fall down.

So this guy goes into a restaurant with a puppet.
The waiter approaches the table and asks the human what he would like.
The customer tells the waiter what he would like then says, by the way, my puppet friend here would like the same and he is a homosexual.
The waiter says "sure" and minutes later delivers the meals.

Then another guy comes in with a puppet and is seated at the table beside the first guy.
The waiter approaches the table and asks the human what he would like.
The customer tells the waiter what he would like then says, by the way, my puppet friend here would like the same and he is heterosexual.

The waiter says, I'm sorry, we don't serve heterosexual puppets in this place.

Is it okay to serve homosexual puppets, and to not serve heterosexual puppets?
Should the guy with the heterosexual puppet be upset and claim discrimination?

What about if I get me 7 wives; one for each day of the week?

Is that okay?

Another person comes into a restaurant and says that he refuses to be seated at a table next to a Republican.

Another person comes into a restaurant and says that he refuses to be seated at a table next to any GODless, perverted, twisted Democrat.

Do we need to write a rule for every possible scenario?

DOES A BUSINESS OWNER HAVE THE RIGHT TO DO BUSINESS IN A WAY IN WHICH HE SEES FIT AND ACCORDING TO HIS VALUES AND BELIEFS; OR DOES HE HAVE TO RUN HIS BUSINESS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE VALUES OF SOME GODLESS, PERVERTED, TWISTED NUTJOB WHO RESIDES IN WASHINGTON, D.C.?

This is what's wrong with the (formerly) United States.
Of course, a business shouldn't intentionally try to make people upset.
But, customers can't demand that a man do something that he is extremely uncomfortable to participate in, either.
It's not about any kind of discrimination; it's about standing firm in what you believe and what kind of principles one has.
BUSINESS OWNERS HAVE RIGHTS, TOO.
What's the next group that will come along and demand how one runs one's business?
Bullshit has to stop someplace.
I know where it would stop for me.

Suppose you were a professional massage therapist who goes to private residences.
A gay group calls you and demands you cater to their next orgy.
You goin'?

Dude, your misinterpreting what both me and GW are saying, neither one of us disagrees that businesses have rights, and they should have the right to do whatever they want, all we pointed out is that its a bad business decision to play politics.

If you are running a business there is only 1 color that matters and its green, bottom line is that, pissing off half the country whether its liberals or conservatives, does nothing to help your bottom line.

B. That's the upside -- or downside depending on how one looks at it -- of being an American.

Seems to work for Chick-fil-a

Not really, Chick Fil A did worse as a result, they got a short term bump in sales followed by their sales getting cut in half, people are only willing to support the business while its cool, where as they are willing to black list it as long as they exist if someone crosses them.

Interesting... Everything i've read their sales have increased every year? I'd buy their stock if they'd sell it.

Guess I'll have to settle for a chicken sandwich
