If you knew anything about anything, let alone business, you would know that businesses, especially small businesses which hire the majority of illegals, will need the government's assistance to empower them with technology and protocols to verify counterfeit documentation. The majority of illegals that work in this country use quality counterfeit papers.

Run or manage a business that has the potential for inadvertently hiring an illegal alien and you'll quickly understand what I'm talking about.

And let's not forget, it's the governments responsibility to enforce its own laws. If the government wishes to raid businesses looking for illegals, which they occasionally do but don't like to make a point of it considering the hot button issue immigration is, then by all means. Such actions are usually applauded.

But politicians do not like to address the issue since there are votes at stake. Votes from the Latino constituency.

Nope. They are crying about the supply...not going in the direction of impacting the demand...

Incidentally, and not coincidentally, we have done next to nothing to curb the demand for opium and opium products in America since we invaded Afghanistan...and they are having bumper crop after bumper crop...

Follow the money, follow the money, illegals are all about money...not about what is best for America...which is the impact of the slow poison of capitalism over what is best for America...

WASHINGTON – Five states — New York, California, Texas, Arizona and Florida — are perilously close to losing out on congressional seats because of lackluster participation in the U.S. census.
Based on recent population trends, New York, California and Texas had been estimated to fall just above the cutoff for the last House seats when they are redistributed next year. Waiting behind them in hopes of picking up additional seats are Arizona and Florida, which are already expected to gain one seat apiece.

Responses from these states also raise a red flag because of their higher shares of residents who are Latinos. The Census Bureau has said one of its main concerns is whether tensions over immigration will discourage Latinos, and particularly illegal immigrants, from participating in the government count. That issue returned to the forefront after Arizona passed a tough immigration enforcement bill.

Latino residents represent a predominant share of the population growth in New York, California, Texas, Arizona and Florida, making up more than 50 percent of total growth since 2000. As a result, those states could face big losses if there isn't full cooperation when the Census Bureau on Saturday begins knocking on the doors of those who did not respond by mail.
