My answer to the problem is to deal with the demand problem, not the supply that comes from the demand.

The State has the responsibility to protect it's citizens, that protection spreads from violence to the ability and resources to educate and care for it's LEGAL citizens.

There are laws and programs in place that allow for Green Cards and legal access to employment. If your here illegally you're breaking the law. I don't get why people ignore this.

The DNC is trying to make this a political issue to garner Hispanic votes this November. Guess we need to make it law to provide citizenship status in order to vote. See how many politicians vote for that.

Since you go by the name Captain Obvious you should acknowledge the obvious. The Mexicans are going to come here and work and AMERICANS are going to continue hiring them and helping them, that part is obvious.
This Arizona law will not change that. A Mexican with a family he cannot feed and bills he cannot pay and family sick that he cannot get help for is going to come here. For his family he should come here. Just like you or I will do pretty much any kind of work required of us to feed our family, even if the government said we couldn't do it you still would work to feed your family. I don't have any quick fix solutions but until the right realizes what the source of the problem is we can't fix it and as of right now many on the right look at Mexicans here as simply criminals.
There is an answer here, it is impossible to completely fix the problem but we can make the problem better. I don't think the Arizona solution will work, and will cause more problems than it solves.

I agree with 100% of everything you wrote, 100%. What needs to be done is for the Fed's to do their god damn job, and it's going to be very painful to do because they haven't done it for so long. The border needs to be secured, militarily. Laws need to be enforced in regard to the hiring of illegals. People need to be deported, even if it means breaking up families. The idiotic law that allows a child born of an illegal on U.S. soil to be a citizen needs to be repealed. Mom's illegal, so is the kid.
Yes, it's all tough, nasty stuff, but that's where we're at, and we're here because of the failing of the Fed's to do anything at all for decades.
I don't expect the Fed's to do anything that will help. Not because they are cowards, they obviously are. They won't do anything because it's in their self interest to keep the illegals streaming in. Gives both the Dems and the Repubs something to campaign over, and it gives both parties what they want...votes and slave labor.

You are correct, the Arizona law will not fix the problem but it will allow the local police departments to be more proactive in addressing the situation.

Governments on both side of the boarder are to blame, Mexico encourages the behavior and the US does nothing concrete, except the occasional token plant raid from time to time. Come on, it's not hard to find illegal employment.

Optional, I agree wholeheartedly, prosecute those who employ illegals, but work is only one reason why they come here.

Ah, but hospitals can't refuse medical help. And if a pregnant mom can get across the boarder and have her child here, it's an American.... not what the Framers had in mind.

Laws that require proof of citizenship, cough cough "social security numbers" for kids to be allowed to enroll in schools are opposed in courts. So, anyone with a water bill, kids can enroll in school.

Yes make it so there's no incentive to come here, but when these types of laws are passed it's the same story, racial! racial! racial! And immediate injunctions are sough in court to stop them. California anyone?

I don't know where you get the idea that the emergency room can solve all medical problems, prescribe all necessary medication, etc.

I think the anchor baby issue is needs to be addressed, and I oppose illegal immigration.

However, this is essentially, and fundamentally a supply demand issue, and if there were no demand for cheap illegal labor, the problem would not exist as it does today.

Just like most of the problems we deal with, have to do with demand at their foundation, not supply.

Illegal drugs? Demand.
Prostitution? Demand.
Illegal aliens? Demand.
Terrorism? Demand for justice from our interfering behavior in the middle east.
Rodent problem? Remove the food rodents eat.
Ants? Clean the house.
Disease? Eat healthier foods.


Rarely does the right or the left address the real reason for the problems...they try to deal with the problem on the level of the problem, not addressing the cause of the problem...then it just becomes all noise and political bullshit.


I agree it is time to stop the bullshit, but you act as if the war on illegal aliens is going to be successful when it will fail like all other attempts to stop the supply when the demand continues...

You start with the demand, and the supply is dealt with automatically.
