Arizona New World Order. "Sir are your papers in order"

Perhaps the Webster quip only addresses a premise of the argument, but the actual Webster entry covers it all since it is, after all, the definition of racism in the English language. Victory is conclusive, and decisive. Racism defined- case closed. Thank you. Good night.

You are wrong. The argument has at least one more, probably two, unspoken premises. I leave it to you to figure them out. If you succeed, you lose the argument. If you cannot figure them out, you lose the argument. Sleep tight.

No, you are just having a marxist cry baby fit because you don't like the definition of racism which is very clearly defined, and solves the underlying issues of this debate. No matter how much you whine and cry, and stomp your feet, it's not going to change the definition of racism. LOL!

I didn't think you'd spend a moment on understanding the overall argument. You're off in a third, irrelevant direction. Have fun.

Quote from CoolTraderDude:

Actually walking up to a black person and calling him the dreaded "N" word wouldn't make you a racist. It would just make you ignorant and rude. It is the equivalent of swearing at him. What if I just called him ugly instead would that make me a racist...? Racism does have a definition and you need to face facts. You can't use "racism" wherever you feel like it.

Here is an example:

Me: “Aaarrrggghhh… I stubbed my toe against that black chair!”

You: “Hey… It isn’t the chair’s fault that it’s black! Why are you such a racist Nazi!???

Me: “What the hell are you talking about?”

Seems ridiculous doesn’t it? Well that’s because it is! Nevertheless, that is exactly what is going on.

Also spare me your name calling.
You are a silly silly person. Racism is first and foremost a belief and and attitude. And neither YOU nor anyone else gets to say racism only exists when it results in "this specific behavior." Attitudes and beliefs can manifest in a potentially infinite number of different behaviors; your silly sign example is a nonstarter.

At best, these people could just be prejudiced but not racist. Many of them are prejudiced, but not racist...as if being prejudiced makes it okay to hate people even more just because they are black...

For instance, in their minds they hate Obama mostly because he is not one of them on the issues, but in their mind they say "I hate that fucking nigger."

Do they hate a black who agrees with them? No, and they don't say "I agree with that fucking nigger."

So they have a prejudice against blacks, thinking that blacks are inclined to be a certain way because they are black, but if the black acts enough like a righty whitey, then they will tolerate that person...grudgingly. They would prefer if blacks would just keep with blacks, but if a few token blacks (like the few specs of pepper we see in the salt mines of the teagagger conventions) allow them to say "we are not racist, just look at that black one over in the corner."

Well unfortunately for you, you don't get to determine what racism is or is not. However, the dictionary does, and the dictionary disagrees with you. It provides a definition of racism which is very specific, and not "infinite".

LOL! Fucking marxist will argue with the dictionary!! LOL!! Goes to show you what logical contortions socialists are capable of, they will try to rewrite the dictionary!! LOL!!

I haven't read the entire thread, but I am just blown away by this coming from someone I disagree with 99% of the time. You expressed my sentiments exactly. The federal government's inaction and intentional failure to address this problem left Arizona and other border states in a terrible situation. Government's first duty is to protect its citizens, and that is not happening on the border.

How we can have several hundred thousand troops scattered all over the globe but we're unable to protect our own border and the people who live there is just an outrage.
+1

And thanks for getting this thread back on topic. I see Arizona is being universally vilified in the MSM. Nobody is addressing the Feds' responsibility for allowing this problem to fester and grow; some commentators seem positively delighted that illegal aliens violate our immigration laws with impunity. I fear for the future of America. :(

I think part of the problem is this "nation of immigrants" meme that has been allowed to gain strength in recent decades. Last time I checked, an immigrant was somebody who moved from one nation to another. Last time I checked, that does NOT describe the vast majority of people living in the USA. You'd have to go back before the Civil War to find an immigrant in my family tree. Having immigrants in your ancestry does not make you an immigrant, it's your personal national residences that determines whether or not you are an immigrant. The "nation of immigrants" meme says illegals have as much right to be here as actual US citizens. I think the rest of the world looks at us and sees an insane asylum. :(
