Arima Capital

there was also a thread here a while ago discussing this firm but I see that has been deleted as well. (And I was going to chide the guy for not using the search feature)

Quote from Babak:

Just got an email from asking me to remove Arima Capital from the proprietary trading directory because they are no longer in business.

Their website http://www.arima-capital.com/ now shows:

Directory Listing Denied
This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed.

Strange since it was only on Feb 24th 2008 that they got the site up.

Anyhoo, just a heads up :-)

Anyone have any color on this? Someone else told me they were only accepting regular retail accts (25K) or series 7 guys? Is this true? If so why are they gone?

Yeah, did you notice the "SEC Action" in red beside it?

Thought I'd leave it up as a flare for those who are doing their DD to be careful when approaching prop firms.

Not that the other firms on the list are shady necessarily, but rather just a show of the kinds of risks that are out there.

I notice you still have a link for Tuco on your page even tho it links to nowhere.

The reports of Arima's demise are apparently greatly exaggerated, according to Ron:

Arima Capital LLC decided to just work directly with Assent to recruit, hire and train traders. They still have all their traders, just under Assent.

I suppose this means they are a sub-LLC of Assent (?)

Nice call babak on 1/8/08 (below quote). Could you have been more wrong ?? LMAO! BTW--How sleazy of you to constantly pimp your crappy blog.

wow, just the kind of post that I'd love to see!

the retail investors have already soiled their pants and the market is deep oversold... and then I find this on ET

we'll see how it all shakes out but personally, I think we're about to see a great buying opportunity, this goes into detail why.
