Both political sides, maybe. But the worker sure doesn't have any representation for his plight. He's just courted on the wage issue in order to get his vote, not because anyone cares about his situation.

In general, perhaps. But so far no one has demonstrated any understanding of the minimum wage issue beyond what they read in a book and heard in a class. So far it's been just a succession of rightwing rants.

I'll concede that. I wouldn't say that no one has demonstrated an understanding of it. If you know where to look, they're out there. There are plenty of folks out there who get it - but few, if any, have any air time at all.

War and a resulting deficit .... and Odumbo has made Bush look like a frugal guy given our current deficit. Bush went from $5 trillion to $10 trillion in 8 years. Odumbo has gone from $10 to $17 trillion in 6 years.

Those figures are our debt, not the deficit. And most of "Obama's increase" has been non-discretionary spending, the counter-cyclical factors of rising social safety net spending, but coupled with falling tax receipts.
