To be completely racist, why not round all the blacks and send them back to Africa. We gave the Jewish people their own little state. They'll get a whole continent. It'd be up to them to build the society they choose. Whether they want to emulate the US or recreate Lord of the Flies, that's their business.

i'd like to see a reasonable guess or two (stats) how many on deathrow are ultimately exonerated. a rough estimate is times that by 3 to allow for those that can't afford endless appeals. there in lies your (acceptable?) collateral damage. vengeance should never be a part of a civil society and enforcement of its laws.

Hence the word punishment. It's not capital vengeance, it's capital punishment. However, your point is well taken that there are those which cannot afford endless appeals. We need a system where the 100% clear cut cases are prosecuted expeditiously, and execution is immediate after the guilty verdict. To FC point about killing being wrong. No it's not. Murder is wrong. Killing is sometimes necessary to clean house.
