Quote from Brass:
Oh, you think you're a rugged individualist? I've got news for you, sonny. You're nothing but a smudge to the people who would essentially own you if there were no regulatory oversight. And not a particularly self-preserving or smart smudge at that.
NO ONE here that I'm aware of let alone me is calling for NO regulatory oversight, sonny. This is just another one your typical gross exaggerations that frankly make you look stupid extremist and out of touch, sonny.Quote from RCG Trader:
They are the Darwinists, Tsing. We are excess labor. They want a population reduction to cull the herd. That herd is you and I.
I just wanted to expose that on the ultimate scale. They are they predators, we are the prey. I am totally not okay with that.
Unchecked gov. is as bad as no gov. at all. We have to find that balance. That is what the founders knew and tried to do, in spite of their awareness of human behavior.
The natural state of gov is gridlock IMHO. They wanted to make it very hard for folks to do dumb shit that will last. So, they set it up for each party to overreach. Then the people react, and we have gridlock. That is why the markets took off after the midterms. The dems overreached, the people reacted...gridlock. Gridlock=stability.
Quote from Tsing Tao:
You're bringing up a whole new topic here than what jf was referring to with Darwinistic corporate environment. I'm not disagreeing with your idea that it is bad to be the flock that is thinned out, but this has nothing to do with Darwin or what he taught about. At least not the Darwin I read.

Someday, you will contribute something of substance. I realize that you are so severely outclassed that you have to revert to one liners.
When is the last time you wrote a thoughtful response to something, anything?

*Amazing isn't it? RCG makes repeated claims about being in the army AND being a crack shot. Yet he left little doubt in recent exchanges that he knows little or noting about firearms. He is lying about his marksmanship, being in the army or both?
*He repeatedly boasts about his ass being on the line while serving.
Yet when pressed admits he never came within 1,000 miles of a combat zone? Was his original claim embellishment or an outright lie on his part?
*He repeatedly claims nurses don't perform enemas. Yet with a quick search it turns out that nurses DO in fact perform enemas. Was he lying (AGAIN) or does he not know what nurses do to begin with? Ergo he probably isn't a nurse to begin with.
*He claims that flying an aircraft is easier than driving a car and he knows this because he took flying lessons "many moons ago". 1)Apparently it wasn't too easy as he was never licensed and 2) he later claimed he had never had flying lessons. Which is true, which is a yet another one of his lies?
*In one thread he's talking about joining the Tea Party, later he claims they're all racists. Mental disease of some sort or drug abuse perhaps?

test is way too vague about what they are measuring with the questions.
Many answers have multiple divergent philosophical reasons for the same answer.

How about this?
Quote from RCG Trader:
Well, Darwin has been stretched, as you no doubt know, so I am trying to keep in context with the current definitions.
For example, if we ask Darwin about Social Darwinism, he would give us a blank stare. I think.
My bottom line is that man is not willingly civilized. I think that is Machiavelli is so many words. Leaving him solely to his own devices has not worked in the past, and it will not work now.
