Are you mostly Daytrading vs Swingtrading now?

These days about 95% of my money is traded intraday.
That's mainly a function of the zero commissions and a new set of possibilities that have opened up.

What are you finding works best for you in this market -- day vs swingtrading, or some of both?

Personally I'm doing more daytrading, since gaps overnight are haphazard.

For daytrading today I had a few winners trading upside reversals in TZA UVXY SDOW.

Any daytrading tips to share, in whatever you are seeing works best?

Here's one: frequently I see midday major reversals, 11-12 like today, which is why I bought inverses at that time ‐- look at today's UVXY chart. Much better to daytrade vs swing.

About 95% swing/position trades.
Most, but not all gaps on strong trenders are with the main trend-if they were not, mutual funds/investors would not get rich with billions/millions.
Strong summer uptrend; but i'm mostly long non leveraged tech etfs. IF I was super sure of this summer uptrend I would be in TQQQ/ but i'm not.
JAN barometer[Hirsch Stock Traders Almanac] makes the 4th quarter look good + election year also. Took profits on SPYG, yesterday;that non leveraged etf does not drawdown huge like TQQ/LOL
Some gaps do go against the main trend + its worse with 3x leverage...…… Good question KC l………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

Looks like you are running out of ideas, and looking for fresh material (desperately).

I addressed you already:

It's a great topic. The current market requires a flexible approach; I'm simply curious about what my fellow traders here are doing re swing vs daytrading.

Payday on cash tech ETFs/today[off that IBD list i noted earlier this month];
4.4% in one week, on that one /got about 50% of that 4.4%. May/may not take profit on another/ but its doing better; so we will see........................................................................................

I would imagine the successful traders are sticking with their strategy and the others are chasing their tales switching from one to the other.

Good point. An important point re daytrading is to minimize trading on inside days like today because they're choppy af. I mostly got stopped out today trading TNA/TZA UVXY etc since whipsaw market.

There were a couple of strong charts WIMI UONE my traders found, but overall a frustrating af Friday :p

Big picture Monday Friday worst days of week; Tuesday Wednesday Thursday best, almost always it's smart to not trade inside days like today. Or at least lighter size
