I don't know if I am more intelligent or less intelligent than most of the people who post here and I care less. The one thing I do know (judging by the posts I read) I know damn well a hell of a lot more about trading for a profit than they do. You can call me the dumbest, maladjusted, dysfunctional son-of-a-bitch in the forum and I don't much give a rats-azz.

this is like those surveys that ask people whether they think they're good drivers and how they rank other drivers.

80% of these surveys are useless.

Alot of you seem to suffer from delusions of grandeur...
If only it were that simple. Some folks have demonstrably crossed that threshold and have firmly ensconced themselves into delusions of manure (maneur?).

This is a brilliant poll on trader arrogance.

Bunch of cocky assholes....

By the way, I'd be curious to see the results of this poll amongst wilmott.com users.

Guys who actually are brilliant as a crop ...

My guess is the results would probably be the same as the results here. So they would be cocky assholes too.

Let take a bear!!!!! Completely right, if we were taking a bear few days ago we must be feeling much smarter right now. :D

Quote from bigarrow:

"In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine.

"And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers."

I chose less than. Dopey and proud of it! :D

I'm with you. At 75, I am definitely in the lower half.

I decided long ago that it is better to be rich than right.

A lot of the right people regard me as unbelievable and astonishing.

Once I understood how dumb I was compared to the market, I just starting dong what it told me. I never got into trying to beat the market or use any math more than Boolean Algebra to keep track of what I was told to do.

I am in the bottom 20% (one or two sigmas below the norm) I would guess judging by how the smart people reject what I am doing.
