Everybody knows that the only reason communism failed is because the wrong people were in charge. We should give it another chance.

I truly believe socialists are mentally ill. They keep doing the same things over and over, the results are always bad, but they expect a different result.

I think you and some others on here are absolutely nuts and have no real bearings at all. I have never seen Venezuela used as an example of some socialist utopia. Never. Some of the posters on here are ignorant and relatively uneducated. They know little about the world beyond their borders, some might not even know much about the US beyond their state and surrounding states. The US is in decline right now because greed became more important then education, social programs ( like prevention of poverty and universal health care ), and community. The US is the only first world country that has allowed itself to become an unsafe environment ( with gun ownership and carrying being pervasive ) and poverty a real problem in inner cities. We still see ridiculous situations currently like Mississippi having to mandate by law the merging of schools to eliminate what is still effectively a segregated school system. How on earth can this exist in 2016 ? Wow.
