These blunt judgments are similar to the one delivered from within conservative ranks by Jonah Goldberg in 2002:
Conservatives...were often at best MIA on the issue of civil rights in the 1960s. Liberals were on the right side of history on the issue of race. And conservatives should probably admit that more often.
Quote from budcampbell:
With only two active brain cells, The RCG types believe the propaganda that gov't is your buddy and best friend. I suppose if you are an affimative action adherent who believes in a stacked deck of course to RCG, the conservative is your nemesis and opponent. Liberals make the biggest racial hypocrites in my experience.
Buckwheat has stepped off the edge at the deep end of the pool and just realized he doesn't know how to swim. Do you want to hold his head under or shall I?Quote from PHOENIX TRADING:
You're a fucking idiot.
The only thing that stands in the way of our Imperial federal gubbermint from turning into a fully AUTHORITARIAN STATE ( russia circa 1917, ger 1930's etc.) is STATES RIGHTS curbing federal abuse of power.

Quote from budcampbell:
1962......Kennedy was still President and preparing to have the law enacted, so 1964 it was. The US was far more conservative among "both" parties in early 1960's, so just another idiot trying to re-write history to fit the propaganda. The law still got passed. Try again, brain-cell.
Quote from RCG Trader:
Conservatives have always, from the Constitutional Convention forward have tried to hold up social progress. They have fought FOR sexism, racism, and are now fighting FOR homophobia.

Quote from wjk:
I thought you voted for Reagan the second time. How could someone so vehemently opposed to conservatism ever vote for Reagan? Something not adding up here.![]()
Regarding conservatives standing in the way of social progress: Was one time klansman Byrd a conservative, or even a Republican?
Quote from RCG Trader:
1.Your experience is relative to your geographical location and socioeconomic standing.
2. Laws were written to fix a broken covenant, so government is fine by me.
