Unfortunately we've had many new users here at ET in 2020 that misuse / twist that concept.
They will publicly state they're open to criticism
or questions but then flip out as soon as members give constructive criticism and simple questions.
The good thing is that these new members that are extremely
thin skin members...they quickly leave the forum. The sad part is that other veteran members will then step up to support the thin skin member via questioning why you're asking questions / giving constructive criticism.
Trust me...very few members at this forum believe
"peer review" is beneficial because very few members actually walk that talk about peer review.
Further, the forum owner (Baron) states the following in his Politics thread...
- Not for the faint of heart. If you are easily offended, stay away from this forum!
He should actually state that for the
entire forum and not just the Politics thread to every member in the registration process because we have many veteran members behaving like the new thin skin members.
