Also some people like to post publicly to help keep themselves accountable. Peer review can be beneficial if a person is open to being critiqued.
Are there posts which show daytrading can be consistently profitable?

Gives me something I can read back on, when I go around in circles on an issue aswell.
Trading is 99% mental sadly.
Unfortunately we've had many new users here at ET in 2020 that misuse / twist that concept.
They will publicly state they're open to criticism or questions but then flip out as soon as members give constructive criticism and simple questions.
The good thing is that these new members that are extremely thin skin members...they quickly leave the forum. The sad part is that other veteran members will then step up to support the thin skin member via questioning why you're asking questions / giving constructive criticism.
Trust me...very few members at this forum believe "peer review" is beneficial because very few members actually walk that talk about peer review.
Further, the forum owner (Baron) states the following in his Politics thread...
- Not for the faint of heart. If you are easily offended, stay away from this forum!

True enough, but there's a handful of mean-spirited nasty trolls here that cross the line and should be banned for:
- Personal attacks that are defamatory and attempt to damage reputations
- Attacks phrased as questions
- Insulting trading ideas posted by others vs constructive criticism etc
- Anonymous malicious trolling
To the OPs question nobody should make claims like "consistently profitable ", as that is unrealistic.

When you say "daytrading" you really have to specify what you mean.
(First, what I think you mean.)
Trading liquid issues in and around the premarket, open, day session and close.
Using stuff like RSI, momentum, breadth, indexes, and sector analysis, screeners, etc.
But there are many other things it can mean...
(I'll run through a few examples of what I would also call daytrading.)
Using portfolio margin to trade ETF, stock, or securitized vol and spreading risk long/short.
Trading rate futures and spreads, and index trading on GLOBEX.
Intraday energies, metals, softs, STIRS and spreads (futures).
There are plenty of people making money. There are also people who are under the impression that pro's are just punting with screeners and such.
They are wrong.

I hear you but I've only seen a few trade journals with verification of profits although the journals were short lived...assuming that's what the OP was talking about when he stated "posts which show daytrading can be consistently profitable"...
It was a strange way the OP asked that question but I thought he was asking if there are daytrading trade journals with verification of consistent profits.
Thus, I didn't think he was talking about a single message post or several message posts in which someone wrote "I'm consistently profitable". Anyone can see many posts by people here at the forum that state either they're profitable, profitable trade, profitable call on a regular basis...reason why I didn't think that's what the OP was talking about.
Yeah, we have a trolling problem, always have, here at ET and they've become very sneaky in creating multiple aliases or organized with other trolls in their attacks. The funny thing is when they bark up the wrong tree and someone gives the trolls a taste of their own medicine...
The trolls run to Baron to get help.
It's obvious my mom didn't raise me to turn the other cheek.
My motto...treat them the same way they treat you. If they don't like your bite...they shouldn't go bark up your tree.
