You try it.
Let's say you have a trading room. You make 5 calls per day.
You do it in real time.
Ten people witness you do it every single day.
Then some drunk challenges you:
He says "You are a liar. Those ten people confirming what you said are liars too. NOW PROVE IT TO ME."
Then you say: "Come into my trading room and I will prove it."
The drunk says "That will not be good enough, send me a written report."
You do that.
The drunk says "I don't believe that report. You forged it. Give me real proof." And he pukes.
At that time wouldn't you say "I really don't need to prove anything to a drunken bastard like you."
Put it this way. I have 167 paid members in my trading room. About 6 on ET who have never been a member, never will, don't believe anything anyone says, are pretty unsophisticated and are assholes saying I have to quell their skepticism.
I say "Screw all 6 of them. I really don't need their business."
So then a successful person logs in. He or she sees me tell the 6 morons that if they want "proof" they can check out Puretick.
To a successful person that sounds logical, CHECK IT OUT FOR ONESELF.
Then he or she hears the 6 losers "we have never been in your room but we have this mystical knowledge that you can not possibly ever help anyone improve their trading performance and you do not call trades in real time."
The successful person says "Hmmmm that sounds pretty stupid. Guess I will check out Puretick. I can afford the $29.00. I am certainly not going to buy the distorted logic of 6 morons. I can find out Wednesday morning if this guy is on the level or not---I really do not need to hire a CPA firm. I am not that helpless."
That is the trader I want to prove things to, not the 6 morons.
But without the 6 morons questionning me, I would never be able to present such a valid argument. You see I think many people are skeptical at first. They have a right to be.
But when they see such skepticism carried to such frightening proportions it makes them laugh at their own skepticism. They lose their fear.
It is not like I am saying "Give me every dollar you ever owned so I can make you rich." I am saying can you afford $29.00 to check this out. It is like buying a trading book. Have you ever bought a trading book that did not help you?
Probably.
Did you try to kill the author? Probably not.
You moved on.
I am either going to help you.
Or I am not.
