I will admit that chest thumping and bragging about one's accomplishments is tacky, classless, and uh let's see (this is from stuff I actually wrote about 30 years ago) worthless, stupid, vainglorious and probably a few negative other crap.

I have a book of poetry I wrote in the sixties.

I also still have Ray Steven's "Mr. Businessman record.

I truly felt that "Money is the root of all evil."

But last night, flying above the clouds in an aircraft that I bought from my efforts---well I sort of joined the other side.

I can tell you guys a few stories but the trading week is about to begin.

The arena calls.

I saw Kobe and the Pittsburgh Penguins all jumping around (multi millionaires all) and chest pounding and I did understand a little about what it means to work hard and triumph.

I can tell you a real story about my old hero, Bob Dylan and the tirade he put on at Proskauer, Rose Goetz and Mendelsohn when he wanted some poor schlep put out of business because he dared sell a Bob Dylan T-shirt without giving poor Bob (who hated the establishment and greedy businessmen) his royalties.

Part of me does still hold the original ideas of "why doesn't Bill Gates just walk away and sit on a beach drinking and watching the sunset every day, now that he has it made?"

Why doesn't that greedy bastard Warren Buffet stop giving CNBC a tour of his jet?

Don't you hate rich guys showing off their aircraft?

I do.

When their aircraft is better than mine.

I promise you guys when I get my Cirrus Jet in a couple of years I still will criticize anyone showing off their 737's.

I/ve taken courses from Optionetics, Adrienne Toghraie, Learn to Trade (Toronto), FXTE and Safety in the Market.

Of all the above, Safety in the Market is the best. They are from Australia but do come to the US to do their "Gann Jump Start"....I do recommend that if you take one course, this is money well spent.

They will show you how to use time in your trading and how ranges repeat. There is also a course on Time by Degrees. Ultimate Gann. I found it brilliant and met professional traders who have made alot of money with this technique.

They make it very clear that besides taking the course you have to put in alot of work...the course is just the beginning...sort of like when you finished your degree...you still have to go out there and put in the time and effort

Fortunately, I would not go near Spectra's free offer with a ten foot pole. He is incredibly hostile and overconfident, two attributes totally absent in all the best teachers. His obsessive need to attack is scary and speaks volumes (especially to newbies like me). His vitriole is amazing taking in the fact he is a businessman and not a Pro Trader. But, as they say even the worst publicity works.

To the rest of this thread: Thanks again for all the advice. I have found three reputable Pro Traders that charge next to nothing and have great feedback.

As everyone has said real Traders trade. Some Pros will provide advice, chat, structure, a strategy and continuous help for vitually free. It's because they are Pro Traders not businessmen.
