Definitely, the GOP is chastened. They lost an election that was theirs to lose, and they successfully snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory.
The new GOP will have four years to rebrand. And they are going to put max effort into this.
obama has been willing to compromise for over 2 years. 2.5 in cuts for every dollar in new revenue.
its republicans who have been stamping their feet like little children and saying my way or no way.
people afraid to be short with the possibility of a deal over the weekend.
I smell a punt, and next December we'll be right back here again without anything of substance having been done. And then it's on to the 2014 campaign where congress can all point fingers at each other. Will the stupid f'n public re-elect them again. You bet.
