A system that allows 108,000 votes from 3 states overrule 3 million votes from others is really screwed up.

Forty-six of the electoral college votes President-elect Donald Trump won on his way to a resounding 306 to 232 electoral college victory over Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton came from three states where his combined margin of victory was only 108,600 votes.
Trump won Pennsylvania, with its 20 electoral college votes, by 68,236 votes, Wisconsin, with its 10 electoral college votes, by 27,257 votes, and Michigan, with its 16 electoral college votes, by 13,107 votes.
Of course if the electoral college system favored Democrats you would find it to be great.
The entire reason the founding father's created the electoral college system was to prevent the "tyranny of the majority" in the cities. If the U.S. presidential vote was merely based on popular majority then the candidates would only have to visit the largest five cities in the U.S. and could ignore the rest of the country. Obviously to any reasonable person this would be absurd.
