Are commodite trader use same strategies as index trader?

I mean hard and soft commodities product trade same as sp500 like using dom, market profile, volumetric flow ? Because i've read they use forecasting wheather tools for soft commodities and data pipelines for gas

Not every trader is the same. It all comes down to whether you're a FUNDAMENTAL trader or a TECHNICAL trader.

I use exactly the same chart template for
index, currency, bonds, hard soft commodities .... futures.

I seldom look @ cash metal prices, maybe sometimes copper; but most of all my profits there are like a bid /ask , somewhat.[So strangely/ in that metals business price doesnt matter much like a stock or ETF close price does]
