The simple state of being conservative limits ones perspective. You are less open minded. If a person is driven down a closed minded path this causes a sick or uneducated mind to behave in an extreme manner. It is the source of all bigotry I'm sorry to say: closed minded, uneducated and sick.

This statement can easily be applied to progressives. Such a statement itself demonstrates a limited perspective regarding many conservatives. Certainly some aspects of your statement are correct, but perhaps if you defined your broader view of conservatism, including those of us who have both classic liberal views on some issues, and conservative views on others (libertarian?), I can determine if my conservative views are close minded.
