Archaic law may allow disclosure of Trump's tax returns

Soon as Nancy, Chuck and the rest of the curious l left show the same concern about the Clinton foundation scam, I'll start caring about Trump and his tax record. No doubt he used every loophole to dodge as much as he could. Don't we all. Meanwhile the "charity" over at camp Clinton gives a whole six percent to the poor lost souls and pocket the rest for "administrative" costs. That's a scam charity by any definition. I'm sure one of the investigative journalism types over at CNN are hot on it.

It's not just about paying taxes though he took an extreme view of a tax law. But a public official should pay their share of taxes as they should be held to a higher standard.

It's also about understanding his business interests and how they might affect his objectivity as president. Would you be comfortable knowing he's sending troops to defend Assad because he personally owes Russian banks money? Or that he created a loophole in his immigration ban for terrorists to come in so that he can maintain a hotel license in a hostile country? Or that the EPA drinking water standards are dropped so that he can sell his brownfield lots in Brooklyn?
And all of that will be on his tax return? What is it in his financial statement that is publicly available and easily verified that you found so troubling?

Yeah. His proper filing will contain all sorts of details. Each entity i own's full filing is about 300 pages long - it shows all the equipment I own and how it's all financed, depreciated, appropriate deductions and tax credits, etc.

Personally I'm concerned about what he owes foreign banks. He admitted in the first debate that it was billions of dollars. So, wouldn't you want to know that an American Navy SEAL wasn't killed in Yemen so that he could appease the saudis for a 5bp reduction in his interest rate?

Maybe there's nothing there. But the fact that he isn't showing it is very odd given that he is now the most powerful man on earth (and he pursued that position) and millions (if not billions) of lives are counting on him to make the best decision for the USA without regard for the DJT organization.

What's good for DJT is good for America. He doesn't want to show them because he probably took a loss or didn't make much money. I'll kill a Seal for 5 basis points, really? Man I thought the right wingers were conspiracy nuts but your side takes it to new levels of absurdity.

You are joking right? What's good for the trump organization is good for America?

i am very confident that other governments are using their power over his private debentures as leverage. And why wouldn't he green light a risky mission to save some cash for DJT. It's not like anyone will actually find out. Other nations' leaders have done much worse for personal gain.

I think he doesn't want to show them because he is using his office to gain wealth and influence for his private organization. Ivanka sittting in meetings with the Japanese PM? Indian businessmen touting that they work with the president of the USA on a condo in Mumbai? The fact that you support this as okay is shocking.

That's a straight up lie. They've got a pretty decent record and only around 15-20% goes to administrative costs.

The lawsuit brought on Trump's foundation on the other hand....not a peep since he was inaugurated.

The Clinton family’s mega-charity took in more than $140 million in grants and pledges in 2013 but spent just $9 million on direct aid.

For example, the Clinton Foundation reported that it didn't receive any money from foreign or domestic governments from 2010 to 2013. This simply wasn't true, and the foundation ultimately admitted that this was an error.

The numbers are predictably Clinton fuzzy. Surprise, surprise. Any person with even a remote association with intellectual honesty knows this foundation is a straight up scam by any measure.
