arca market orders cancelled

i sent 2 orders to short intc and msft market day...pre open...

orders were cancelled by arca and never filled...

did this happen to anyone else????
 
Does ARCA accept mkt orders at all? I worked at the wire desk of a mid-sized brokerage house and I recall ARCA canceled any market order we tried to send to them back to us. Just my $0.02.

I'm probably wrong. IB allows it, but I've never done it in 6 years with them.
 
You have to specify a price on ARCA.

for what it is worth i have been sending this type of order for about three years now...

i gotten a couple of bad fills but never had my order cancelled without any notification....

nyse / arca strikes again...

the exchange has yet to neither confirm a system error or make the customer whole...

what a joke...
