Quality like having the worst battery in its class? Even my Xiaomi gets 2-3 days easily and it costs something like 1/3rd of an iPhone. Android apps are "trashy"? I've used both phones and there is no difference in apps other than Android is flexible when it comes to design.
The only point you're right about is the patching issue, Google needs to come up with a real solution to this. But that's what we get for getting flexibility, Apple has none.
iPhone fans are like people who still buy Nikes - yes in the 1980s that brand used to mean something but nowadays it's a relatively badly made shoe that costs more than the competition and won't last more than a few years.
