Apple on Monday

I guess i will just have to wait until they come down to 50.00 dollars because that may be the trading value for someone that needs to full up their gas tank or buy some groceries. :)
 
Ouch. I just looked at AT&T's required plan rates and terms.

Minimum of 2 or 4 years?

That's a lot of money to AT&T.

I think this will be Apple's weakness. They lowered the price of the phone now, and yes, the browsing speed is better than some current rivals, but their requirement that you enslave yourself to AT&T is a problem for some (me).

Still would prefer a real keyboard, too.
 
They have 4 years contract now?

Who say telecomm company doesn't innovate?

I agree that will be the major sticking point. However I believe the biggest deciding factor in people who want but didnt buy the iphone has to be the price. I think we can all agree that apple will gain a lot more market share when this new phone will be released. 6 million iphones sold at $400, now comes a better one at half the price...that has to be significant.

Some people will never buy them, they would rather stick to using their Jitterbugs haha.

Yea $30/mo on service is a sticking point with me ... $20, fine. But $30 for occasional web browsing just isn't that great of a deal.

Americans only think about upfront costs... Same thing that fuels excessive subprime car and house buying with people who have no money. Credit card mentality. $200 is nothing - $720 over 2 years of data is where the real expense comes in. I wonder what sort of kickback aapl will be getting upfront ... ? $250? $500?

awesome, i didn't mean to imply that blackberries werent great too. Just that, as gene munster says, the iphone demand could triple or quadruple mainly bc of the lower price and 3g. go apple.
 
It could be, assume the current iPhone user dump their iPhone for the 3G one.

I would never get an iPhone unless it has a CDMA version and port it to Sprint. No way I am paying over $100/mo for what SERO offer me for under 30.
