not sure how to take out of character 15 minute bar...... did someone really not want to be short or did someone really want to be long....
market profile and volume profile had no clues...... tried to look at time and sells but metatrader 5 dom appears to have a limit on historical data....
that was a 500$ move for 1 micro nq future...... in 15 minutes...... very rare....
only twice so far this year..... april 10th single 15 minute bar was 692$.....
100$ bars a dime a dozen......
kinda depressing..... only having pennies.....h

If you like to scale (swing trade) with small positions, ETFs would work as long as you don't mind not having a stoploss for overnight hours.
SPY/QQQ have a little trading in extended hours.

i really like etf's.....
spy, qqq, dia and such i usually trade options on the spyders with etrade...... the spread is so large it's easy to get in between.....
scaling in is about the only way i can trade..... that's why forex's small lot size was perfect.....
in futures the m6em is ok, but others are too wild for me to be effective.....
and really need low volatility.....
my best hours are when all the real traders are asleep.....h
