AOC Celebrates "Defeat" Of World's Richest Man's "Worker Exploitation" As Amazon Abandons NY

This is the most fucktarded thing I have seen in a long time.... this money was basically all wrapped in tax breaks and incentives that the City did not have to actually pay out of pocket.

I k now handing corporations complete welfare is something BOTH GOP and Dems should be against but this was a means to get a company to build a facility that would spur other economic growth in the area.

We take inexperienced utopian idealists and prop them up on pedastals on both sides of the aisle and get shit like this.

This group could have simply put together a message that we should not hand over billions of tax breaks and get a net negative deal to give one company a building site unless they can prove that there will be a true net positive gain when all factors are considered.

OK so Amazon is a greedy corporation? They don't employ hundreds of thousands of people and was born out of a self-start up company that everyone ridiculed from the beginning? Is having a bottom line wrong?

And what is with the worker exploitation...I know people who work for Amazon and LOVE it (you cannot imagine the benefits they get).

I became an Independent (Washingtonian Federalist as I call it :) ) some years ago and shit like Trump and AOC simply confirms how fucked up the extremes of both sides have gotten.
