I surmise (w/o a source) that Joe has had more unaccompanied minors come across the border than Trump did yes. When was the last time you saw the state allowing minors live in the streets w/o supervision?

seasonal allowance due to weather
COVID impact on S.Americans
Likely gang related violence and forced recruitment as in the past
change in strategy by parents still fearful of separation
a less draconian & more welcoming immigration strategy and false belief of "legalization"
no wall
