AOC - can she get any dumber

"After Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., took to Instagram to detail her horrific experiences during the insurrection, the right-wing noise machine moved into action, deploying the usual sexist stereotypes about hysterical, manipulative, deceitful women typically employed to discredit victims of rape or sexual harassment. Things swiftly escalated when Rep. Nancy Mace, R.-S.C., tried to imply Ocasio-Cortez was a liar, tweeting that "no insurrectionists stormed our hallway".

"Mace's insistent claim that the people in the hallway which houses her and Ocasio-Cortez's offices experienced no trauma, however, was quickly debunked — by her own words from the days following the attack.

"At the time, Mace described barricading herself in the office and feeling "threatened & unsafe." She only changed her tune when it became politically useful to deny that her Democratic colleague had felt the same way. But rather than back down and apologize in the face of being exposed as a slippery liar, Mace instead doubled down, making fun of her for being "triggered by facts" and accusing her of "eagerness to politicize absolutely ANYTHING". In reality, it's Mace who is flipping out in the face of her own words and was misrepresenting the horrors of January 6 as a cynical political ploy."

cons never let a crisis go to waste, especially if it means riding the coattails of someone more famous than them.

Mace said they evacuated their offices because of a “nearby threat” not because the threat was in their building. I’m sure everyone in congress was taking precautions, but that’s a far cry from actually being in the middle of the chaos as Alexandria Ocasio-Smollett claims.

Salon :rolleyes:

There really is no such thing as a socialist Cuba or Venezuela... they are dictatorships with a ruling class.
What!?

Cuba = socialism
Venezuela = socialism
socialism = dictatorships or oligarchy

No, that's not real socialism. Whatever "real" socialism is will never exist as long as humans are part of the system.

The only way "real" socialism can exist is if humans are no longer envious, jealous, competitive, wanting, etc. In other words, humans have to cease to be human.

Who gets the house on the Strand in Manhattan Beach and who gets the shithole apartment in Compton?

Who gets a Ferrari and who gets the Pinto?

Who gets to decide?

For proof, you really don't have to look any further than unions in the US. They are great examples of oligarchies. Take any large union and tell me how much the president of the union gets paid and how much the average worker that is a member of the union gets paid.
