Only power she has is what you are giving her, everyone else in D.C. including Nancy Pelosi, her boss, knows she has very limited pull. All she has is TV coverage and if that was all that mattered for power in D.C. then Khardashians would all be senior congress people.
All of you underestimate her because you think her policies are wacky. Of course they are, at least for the most part. But somehow, she has managed to seize control of the democrat party and anyone who doubts that must have missed Biden apologizing for saying Pence was a decent man. The scary thing is she has been in congress for only a few weeks and she is issuing threats of hit lists on any dems who cross her. Believe me, they are scared too.
It's about public perception. The left knows sleeping with socialists would one day come to haunt them. This is your sleeping partners.

If AOC builds her social media audience just little while longer she will have all the power she needs and the old school cronies and their politicians and their media henchmen will have as hard a time stopping her as they did Trump.
They can do damage over time but if the voters want a socialist they won't be stopping her once she has her audience. (She may already have it._
