To browse the Internet, and place trades online. Maybe to install the broker tradin platform.

Are there some nice mini-notebooks?
 
Check out the OQO model 2. I use it when I am out of town and it is very impressive so far. I can run real time apps like IB TWS and it keeps up fine. I have used it to make trades when I am in the car (not driving of course).

Also, you can use it to network with a laptop if you want to setup a mini office on the road w/ add-on Verizon or Sprint modem. Very cool.
