Anyone watching the debates tonight?

Quote from OldTrader:

You and I evidently saw the same debate. By the way, 82% on the Fox news poll say McCain won. Fox by the way is the most widely viewed news channel....about equal to the total of both CNN and MSNBC.

LOL Fox News.

Come on man....would you expect anything less on that ridiculous channel.

Is like saying Notre Dame was voted most popular football team by the people in South Bend.

Quote from insider trading:

In all CNN public polls,Obama won in every poll,on every issue, with every group.

Even the poll on 55 + year olds, Obama won

I would not call online polls statistically accurate.

Jesus Christos....this is so fuxxing boring that my Parrot fell asleep. This is like watching Jack Kemp speak.

does your parrot watch you trade :D :D

Please add in CBS, ABC, NBC before we come to a conclusion, okay?

You guys had mentioned MSNBC and CNN, so I mentioned FOX. Again, the viewership on FOX is equal to the total of MSNBC and CNN. So throw them all together. McCain won.

Wasn't trying to be hard on you.

"Another thing, why don't the candidates ever really engage each other via socratic-like dialectics? Ask them a question and make them answer it.

The rules of the TV debate don't demand it, and most TV viewers don't know what "socratic-like dialects" are.

It would be nice if the moderators would pause between the answers given, have a group of recognized fact checkers do some quick research and be able to say who is telling the truth and who is lying.

Debates are mostly about immediate impact, and the emotional reaction by the viewers.

The best way to evaluate what was said would be to have Americans read the transcript and then research the answer themselves...but that isn't going to happen.

Also, it would be great to have voice analyzers that can recognize stress and often lying by voice patterns running side by side with the person answering the question.

Of course, then we would get nothing but pathological liars as presidents...

:D

Like we have already had over the past few decades...

Maybe, but cut me some slack, my point is they are not engaging enough IMO

Fox has more viewers than CNN and MSNBC?

Damn...if thats true I am moving to Canada.

My take. McCain isnt a bad guy...in fact I kind of like him as a person. I just think his policies are way too similar to Bush....he is clueless on the economy (Economy is strong a few days ago ?????)....and his VP is a very frightening person. If he croaks and she was to take over......would be a very bad thing for this country.

But I am pretty confident when she HAS to come out and speak in the debates she will get annihilated by Biden and it will be lights out for McCain.
