Anyone use anything else than time based charts for day trading?

Jack Hershey was an expert on volume, if you read his journals you too can follow in his shoes.
Oh that's right, I forgot, he didn't have any.

If you use Sierra charts- you can configure a lot of many ways to display. Even down to a volume profile per time bar, footprint, TPO, everything

Thank-you.

No I don't use Sierra charts. I am very constrained with time and use IB TWS and NT7 for charting.

I disagree with your view in saying volume is not important. You may have found a way to make money using just price action solely but I think looking at volume charts is a good factor to consider.

A green volume bar followed by another higher green volume bar would indicate buyer interest while a green vol bar with a lower green vol bar would indicate one to be cautious about the rising price.

Volume also indicates the liquidity of the stock and how fast you can get in an out.
I think you both clearly have edge. Regards volume though- to me, from what I’ve seen and traded, there is no question that it is extremely important. More so when you have volume profile to see value OR time at value (Marlet profile) used with volume and price.
It’s almost funny to consider people discounting it.
