Anyone traded the Mini-Nikkei 225 MJNK Osaka - Japan (JPX)

As a swing trader I hold over night - sometimes for weeks at a time -one time for over 2 months. I would not hold without having a decent profit and a stop loss. Its not that wild of a ride. The day I am afraid to hold overnight is the day I should quit trading. Gaps? There last one was June 2015 - no worse than our ES.
If that's your style fine. I only mentioned not holding overnight as 99% of the individual traders here avoid doing so, with one of the main reasons being the effect other markets have on the Nikkei.

The US markets ETH are influenced by China, Germany, U.K., etc. The Nikkei is no more influenced by the global markets than our markets are - the NK chart looks a lot like our Russell or S&P400. The ETH accounts for a very large portion of the markets annual gains - see chart. It takes a good position and time holding it to make any real money.

There is a risk of loss in trading futures, forex and options. Futures, forex and options trading are not appropriate for all investors.

One more observation on this market is that ahead of major US news, NFP, fed decision etc the Nikkei tends to also be in waiting mode with subdued volatility. Has anyone else noticed that?
